-Present Perfect is never used with an expression of finished past time.
WRONG example: "We have received the documents last Thursday."
Correct versions : "We have received the documents." or
"We received the documents last Thursday."
-Generalizations do not take the article "the" in English. Eg. Managers will be informed by interoffice memos. And not : "The" managers or "the" interoffice memos.
-Numbers included in a business text, which do not exceed two words are preferred in written form.
-Positions and tittles, such as "engineer", "architect", "manager",etc., and departments or places like "head office", "purchasing department", "factory", etc. are usually written in lower case, not in capital letters.
-Capital letters always for nationalities, languages, days of the week, months, and all names (of cities, etc.).
-Repetition of words in different paragraphs does not necessarily mean poor style in English.
-Contractions and abbreviations are avoided in formal writing. Full forms like "I am","it is", "cannot", etc. are preferred for formal texts.
